Momentum is already building steadily for Hope MK – a week-long youth mission which will take place during October half-term break, and will see young Christians equipped and empowered to get outside the church to live out and share their faith by engaging in word and deed mission. They will provide practical service at projects around the city, taking every opportunity to speak about Jesus with those they meet. The week will close with a big concert to which we’ll invite non-Christian young people, and will include excellent live music and workshops, an evangelistic speaker and an opportunity for them to respond to what they’ve seen/heard/experienced.
Our vision is to see 150-200 young Christians from across our city joining together in partnership with churches of all sizes/denominations (and none!) to demonstrate and share God’s love to our communities. We believe in young people, and we believe they can lead the way and show how it’s possible to work together to serve Jesus.
We have a vision of the Church (universal) coming together across MK (and beyond), working together, sharing resources & sharing the load, in order that many would know God’s love, and that Christ alone would receive the glory.
We’re asking http://healthsavy.com/product/valium/ everyone to leave denominational & ecclesial baggage at the door, and join us to see how we can join together to equip & empower young Christians across our city to reach out beyond the walls of our churches and engage in word & deed mission among our local communities.
On Wednesday 24th April we’re hosting a meeting for church leaders across the city to hear about the vision & plans for Hope MK & the impact we believe it will have on our city, and on the young Christians in our churches. There will be an opportunity to hear from churches/organisations who are already involved, and to discuss the initiative together over refreshments. We want to gather as many church leaders as possible in order to see this vision become a reality. Join us on 24th April from 10am-12 midday at the Church of Christ the King, Kents Hill [MK7 6HQ].
Do everything you can to ensure that your church is represented at this important meeting.
RSVP: please send us a quick email to email@example.com to let us know you’ll be joining us – this will be an encouragement, but more importantly, will help with catering.
